Am I eligible to get my prescriptions delivered by Instacart?


If the prescriptions are eligible, you will receive a ready text with a clickable link for delivery options. Keep in mind some prescriptions may not be eligible even if they are filled at the same time. If the link has expired, you can text ORDER to 27104 to generate a new link.

This will take you to the patient portal where you will be prompted to verify your first name and date of birth. Once you're past the page, you will then see the prescriptions that are eligible for delivery. To proceed, click Add Prescriptions and then click Go to Delivery. From there you will be asked to sign in to your Costco account, or continue as a guest.

Why do one or more of my prescriptions not appear in the list of prescriptions eligible for delivery?

Not all prescriptions are currently supported for delivery. Controlled substances, drugs that need refrigeration, and certain other drugs are not currently eligible for delivery. For more information, please contact your pharmacy.


Can I add prescriptions from more than one warehouse to the same order?

No. We currently allow you to add prescriptions from only one pharmacy location at a time. If you have prescriptions that are eligible for delivery at more than one pharmacy, you'll need to create a separate order for each pharmacy.


Can I add my family's prescriptions to the same order?

Yes, if they are linked to your account under the 'Manage Family Accounts' in the mobile app or web pharmacy, you can add their prescriptions to your order. However, those prescriptions must also be eligible for delivery and all the prescriptions in one order must be from the same Costco Pharmacy.

If you have prescriptions ready that are eligible for delivery, you will see a notification at the top of your refill page. Tap on that to be taken to your list.

From this list, select which eligible prescriptions you would like to have delivered, and click Add to Order. Please note, you will only see your prescriptions on this list.

A pop up screen will ask you if you would like any prescriptions you manage delivered on the same order. If yes, tap Add to Order.

Select from the list of eligible prescriptions available from any accounts you manage, and when finished, tap Add to Order.

This will bring you to an order review page. If you are satisfied, tap on Place Order for Delivery, which will take you to Instacart to finish placing your order.


I did not receive my order ready text or I cannot find the text. What should I do?

Please text the word: ORDER to our shortcode 27104 to receive a new message with the ready link.


Can I add groceries to the order?

After adding your prescriptions for delivery, you'll be redirected to Instacart to complete the checkout process. At that time, you may add grocery items from the same Costco location where your prescriptions are filled.

Do I need to be a Costco member to use the services?

No. While members enjoy extra savings and benefits, you do not need to be a member to place an order.


What if I'm not able to receive my prescriptions at the time of delivery?

The Instacart shopper will then return your prescription to the Costco Pharmacy location.

You can either reorder the drugs for delivery by Instacart if they have not been returned to stock or you can pick them up from the Costco Pharmacy in person.
